The plank position – a challenge

Today starts a new challange!

How much better (by percent) can you get at standing in plank position, in one month?

I have challenged my readers to join me in a plank challenge. It will start today by all of us adding the time we menage today. Then on the 10th of March we all enter our new time and whoever has improved the most during this time wins! How much you train is up to you!

in my previous post about Rock hard abs I wrote about the importance of a strong core. The plank position is one of the best and easiest ways to improve your core strength. It takes no particular clothes, shoes, place etc and the time it takes is so limited that “I didn’t have the time” can simply not be true.

If you wonder about the plank, check out this page for picture and explanation: Fitnessthree60.

Wow, that’s a challenge, but one that makes a lot of sense! I do a lot of exercise and have got myself quite a strong core, yet I still have to be reminded to plank! And it’s so easy to fit in, can be done *almost* anywhere!

It really is a great exercise, but also one that I keep “forgetting”, so in order to help others and my self remember it I started this challenge. So, are you in Harriet? ,-)

I was pretty good at the Plank when I was doing yoga regularly, but now my core is not strong at all! I really need to start Planking again!
