Your help to sustainable health and redesigning your body
In my post What is happening to our food I mentioned the decline of nutrients in our food and the need for supplements. However, what I didn’t mention is the importance of knowing what supplement your are eating. How are they manufactured? Are there any research gone into them?
About two years ago, I started reading up on supplements. I realized quickly that the best dietary supplements are natural and not synthetic. What I did not know was that synthetic supplements are not only not good, they can even be dangerous!
The most common dietary supplements today are synthetic, ie produced in laboratories. Synthetic supplements are usually cheaper. Instead of natural supplements made from vegetables, herbs or anything that is edible synthetic supplements are made of so called mineral oil, a biproduct from the petrolium industry.
Unfortunately our body will struggle to actually absorb the content in a synthetic vitamin, and I think it’s bad enough that these are on the market, but even worse is that these supplements can actually be dangerous by draining the body of nutrients instead of boosting it!
For a more detailed explanation of why listening is:
And what is it our synthetic vitamins contain?
