Ease into a healthier 2013

Yesterday I posted about living life and how sometimes wanting to be healthier or fitter becomes a stress factor and something to constantly give you a bad conscience.

Today I want to give you a few tips to get started on a healthier life, but without counting calories or spending hours in the gym. When we feel stressed, sometimes hard exercise is not the best thing. It can even trigger the same physical reaction as stress does.

These tips is to ease you into a healthier 2013, rather than kick start it. Please let me know what you think of the tips:

1 Try to get either walk or cycle for at least 30 minutes a day. It can be divided into parts if needed. Maybe walk to the train instead of taking the bus? Or the bike to work.

2 If you only have 5 minutes, then put on music you like and dance!

3 or: Use the Tabata protocol (see exemple in the video last in the post) And if you have 10 minutes, then do 2, and 15 do 3 etc 🙂

4 Add spices such as ginger, wasabi and chili. It will help you speed up your metabolism.

5 If you feel tired a lot, find a good herbal based multivitamin to boost your body. (Actually, I believe most of us need more vitamins and minerals than what we get through food.)

6 Save time by cooking big pots of food. Soup is a great way to save time, and get plenty of great nutrition into your body.
